DEN & DELVE

FORWARD to FALL

By September 26, 2014 ART & INSPIRATION, DEN & DELVE SHOP, OUTDOORS & NATURE

We haven’t really said goodbye to summer weather quite yet here in California, but we’re surrounded by other influences that tell us that autumn has begun. Fashion and home interiors are changing textures, adding layers, and even grocery stores are stocking up with seasonal foods and ingredients that prep us for cozy comfort foods and holiday meals throughout the upcoming months. While some form of layers and textures are a staple in my personal year-round aesthetic, I’m feeling inspired and excited to take things to the next level – both at home and with some new items for the Den & Delve Shop.

In addition to the usual assortment of handmade leather keychains, bag adornments and necklaces, I’m working on a collection of textile based items in both accessory and home decor form. As a lover and collector of textiles & fabrics, I thought it was about time to delve into some products created from the softer things I’ve been gathering throughout my hunts and travels. African indigo cloth, vintage army surplus, and woven ethnic patterns fuse together for unexpected combinations, while colors from nature are prevalent and inspired from my travels to Big Sur where the forests meet the ocean…

View some insight into my inspiration in the collage I created below, then stay tuned and keep watching for more sneak peeks and developments via the blog and instagram over the next few weeks!D&D Fall Textile Inspiration
